Thank you for joining us at the 2024 AMAS XVI Symposium!

AMAS XVI – The Sixteenth Biennial Symposium

The Australian Microbeam Analysis Society (AMAS) hosted 200 delegates at Brisbane in 2024 for the sixteenth biennial AMAS symposium, held at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Queensland. AMAS was very pleased to include the workshop organised by the Focused Ion Beam specialist interest group (FIB-SIG) of the Australian Microscopy and Microanalysis Society as part of the symposium.

The symposium provided a forum for participants to discuss microanalysis and imaging, emphasising applications, practical solutions, and recent advancements in techniques.

A range of introductory and advanced workshops covering multiple techniques in microanalysis took place at The University of Queensland for two days (5th and 6th of February) leading into the symposium.

The meeting featured an outstanding range of plenary lectures and symposium sessions and extensive opportunities for networking with colleagues. We thank everyone who joined us at Brisbane in 2024.
